At an altitude of 3200m, the tiled houses and their small patios give this village a special character. For several centuries, this market has remained unchanged. Barter, which has almost disappeared today, still continues here.

Tolar Grande is a small village in the Puna Salteña at 3400 m. Cross the Quebrada del Toro, Santa Rosa de Tastil, San Antonio de los Cobres and other small villages to reach Tolar Grande. From there you can visit different places of great cultural, geological and scenic interest, such as the Cono de Arita, Ojo de Mar, and the lagoon of Santa Maria with its variety of birds such as pink flamingos, parinas, ducks and coots.
Not to be forgotten are the Salar de Arizaro and the world-famous Llullaillaco volcano, where three children were found in 1999. The overnight stay is with a local family. Tolar Grande is an ideal place to explore and enjoy.
