DAY 1

FROM PLAYA LARGA TO PLAYA GIRON

This stage allows you to discover the Cenotes; typical natural formations of the region. To get to Guasasa; a small town with a particular name, which in French means "midge", you have to take coastal roads but also quite steep roads, with a slight unevenness. This route is intended for trained cyclists, due to the difficulty of its terrain and its quite long duration. Following a rocky path, you will come across areas of coal mines and mangroves; exotic trees with emerged and intertwined roots.

DAY 2

JAGUA CASTLE, CIENFUEGOS AND ITS BAY OPEN TO THE SEA

Go to Cienfuegos; city founded by French immigrants from the southern United States that features the second largest bay in Cuba, now listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Its Malecón is protected from the sea winds and has a point that juts out towards the sea; the Punta Gorda. The track will lead the participants to the Castle of Jagua, thanks to coastal paths with little unevenness.

DAY 3

FROM TOPES OF NECKLACES TO TRINIDAD; OUR COLONIAL CITY

Head to Trinidad; Colonial city built in 1514 and listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, following the route that allows you to admire Cienfuegos, following the mountainous paths of the Sierra del Escambray. The roads will be lined with abundant vegetation and will ascend to an altitude of more than 800m, thus offering a panoramic view of the entire region. Given the unevenness and complexity of the terrain (many curves and very important unevenness), a certain level of training is recommended.

  • Morning: Early departure. Transfer by car from Cienfuegos to Mayarí. Start of the route in the Sierra del Escambray. In case.

  • Lunch: Paladar El Manantial (Included).

  • Afternoon: Drive between Manantial and Trinidad on a paved road.
