ARRIVAL TO SAN CRISTOBAL ISLAND

Day 1

You will take your flight to Galapagos from Quito or Guayaquil. You will land at the San Cristóbal airport where customs officials will verify your TCC (Transit Control Card), paid at the departure airport. A driver will be waiting for you at the airport exit to accompany you to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will drive to the Interpretation Center to learn more about the islands, then you will go to Cerro Tijeretas, which is named after the frigates or "Tijeretas" that nest in this area.

Day 2

In the morning, you will sail towards the rock formation that bears the name of Kicker Rock or León Dormido, in front of San Cristóbal. The rocky walls have amazing colors, and it is an exceptional snorkeling site: with a little luck, you will be able to see turtles, hammerhead sharks, whitetip sharks, rays, sea lions and many species of fish. In addition, you will see many species of birds, such as royal frigates, with their flaming red breasts! You may also be able to spot blue-footed boobies nestled in caves. Then, depending on the availability of boats, you will sail to the beautiful Cerro Brujo beach, made of white coral and volcanic ash; or the beach of Cerro Grande or Manglesito. The return to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno will be around 3:30 pm, rest of the afternoon free.

Day 3

LOBERÍA AND PUNTA CAROLA

In the morning, you will discover Lobería, a beautiful beach where sea lions like to rest. In addition to the sea lions, you will also be able to observe maria canaries, frigates and finches, as well as marine iguanas. In the afternoon, you will walk and relax on one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Punta Carola, and you will learn about the endemic species of this area.

Day 4

THE PURE OF PINAR DEL RÍO

In the morning you will sail to Santa Cruz. Upon your arrival in Puerto Ayora, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you will visit the beautiful beach of Tortuga Bay, known for being a privileged nesting site for turtles. Its white beach and the presence of sea lions, marine iguanas, flamingos and crabs, among others, make this place an ideal beach to walk and observe the special fauna.

DISCOVERY OF THE GIANT TURTLES OF SANTA CRUZ AND NAVIGATION IN THE BAY

Day 5

You will walk to the main dock to take a boat, which will first take you to Canal Tiburon, in Punta Estrada. You will disembark at this site and you will be able to observe the “Barranco Tintoreras”, totally harmless sharks. You will continue your visit along the Canal de l'Amour, a fantastic natural fissure, and then you will sail towards the "Playa de los Alemanes", the salt flats and finally "Las Grietas". It is a recommended place for swimming and diving due to its transparent waters. In the afternoon you will pass through the "Gemelos", lava formations that look like extinct volcanoes, to discover the endemic flora and fauna of this place. Then you will take the road to a private ranch in the upper part of the island where giant tortoises are found in their natural habitat. Before returning to town, you will go through lava tunnels, for an incredible adventure!

EXPLORING AN UNINHABITED ISLAND

Day 6

You will sail to an uninhabited island in the archipelago to appreciate its special flora and fauna. Depending on the availability of boats, the visited island can be Santa Fé, Floreana or Pinzón. For example, on Floreana, an almost uninhabited island with 170 inhabitants, you can go on beautiful walks and enjoy the peace that reigns on this island. You can go to Lobería, a beach known for its sea lions, and reach the Asilo de la Paz in the upper part of the island, where the only source of fresh water is found, it supplies the inhabitants. Or in Santa Fé, an island protected by a natural rock barrier where colonies of sea lions are found, you will also see land iguanas, crabs and birds, and you will be able to see the giant cactus characteristic of Santa Fé. In Pinzón, the result of the explosion of a volcano, you will see mostly giant tortoises, but also sea lions, dolphins, marine iguanas ...

FREE TIME TO ENJOY PUERTO AYORA

Day 7

Depending on the time of your return flight, you will have this morning to enjoy the port city at your own pace, go shopping, visit the Charles Darwin station where giant tortoises are raised, or relax on one of the many beaches on the island. You will be transferred to the Baltra airport in Santa Cruz to take your flight to the mainland.
