Day 1
Salta
Lovingly called “Salta La Linda” (“Salta the Pretty”) by its inhabitants, Salta boasts the most colonial diversity of any Argentine city, while its gates are surrounded by mountains, valleys, ravines, flora and fauna, protected by national parks. In the afternoon you will take a private guided tour of the city and also visit the San Bernardo Hill.
Day 2
Salta - Purmamarca
From Salta, today you will travel to Purmamarca in the north. In Quebrada del Toro (Bull Gorge) there is a continuous climb up to 4080 meters. After the village of Abra Blanca you go back downhill to San Antonio, where you can have lunch. Then you continue to Salinas Grandes. You visit this white sea and have time to take pictures in peace and to visit the basins from which the salt is extracted. Continue your tour along the National Road 52 and reach Altos del Morado at 4170 m. a. s. l. before arriving in the youth town of Purmamarca
Day 3
Purmamarca - Humahuaca
In the morning you will visit the village of Tilcara, where the Pircas will tell you their pre-Inca history. You will continue through the canyon to the historic town of Humahuaca. After lunch and a visit to the village, you will climb up to over 4.000 meters of altitude (by car) to visit the Serranías del Hornocal - a colorful mountain range also called Cerro de los 14 Colores (14-colored mountain). Afterwards we go back to Purmamarca. You will visit the village of Uquia, and make a photo stop at La Paleta del Pintor in Maimara.
Day 4
Purmamarca - Salta
If you haven't had time yet, you can still visit the 7-colored mountain of Purmamarca this morning. Afterwards, you will make your way back and visit the city of San Salvador de Jujuy before arriving in Salta.
Day 5
Salta - Airport
Depending on the departure time, you will be transferred to Salta Airport, where your tour ends.
