DAY 2

Highland lagoons and salt flats

Today you will visit the national park "Los Flamencos", which invites you to take unique photos with its impressive landscapes of lagoons and volcanoes. In addition, you will surely find some inhabitants of the desert such as llamas or alpacas facing the camera, as well as the flamingos of the same name. We continue to the Salar de Atacama, the largest salt lake in Chile and the third largest in the world. It is spread over an area of 300,000 hectares and offers a breathtaking view of the seemingly endless white desert.

DAY 3

The Tatio Geyser

Today you travel first thing in the morning to the El Tatio geysers. Due to fluctuations in air pressure in the morning, it is best to see them in action early in the morning, that is, at sunrise. Breakfast is served directly on the geysers and you can see the natural spectacle up close. You also have the opportunity to take a relaxing bath in the hot thermal water. Before leaving the Andean highlands, visit the typical town of Machuca, where you can see how the people of the highlands live.

DAY 4

Meeting with indigenous peoples

Today you will visit a local farmer in this region to get a taste of everyday life here. Our friend invites you to his home, talks about the indigenous customs of his ancestors, shows you the traditional processing of corn and tells you about the current difficulties of agriculture in one of the driest regions of the world. In the afternoon, depending on the departure time, you will be taken back to the Calama airport.
